Morning
Jodi is wearing that ugly green flowered shirt with a brown sweater thing over it. I'd say she has about 14 bangs today. She has a different part in her hair today.

No jury is present. This is just an evidence hearing. The defense decided not to show the slides.
They went to an approach.
They are in recess until 11am.

Amnesia- Transient Global Amnesia. I guess it's caused by hot or cold water. JR says Jodi does not suffer from this form of amnesia. But she does suffer from amnesia, but JM objected, and we got another freaking approach.
Disassociate amnesia-memories were not established b/c damage to the hippocampus.

Now Jr is going into long details about the brain. Now Jr is drawing a diagram.

The memories don't come back, but you could have flashes of memories.
Jr spent about 25-30 hrs with Jodi in total. The first couple of times Jodi lied, then Jodi finally admitted that she did the killing.

Jodi reported to Jr that she had gaps. Jr. says Jodi suffers from the disassociate amnesia.
Now he says sometimes memories can be retrieved. (basically your filing cabinet (brain) is broken)

The killing memories just pop up Jodi's brain.

Now Wilmont is taking about complaints made to the medical boards. Now they are talking about his complaints. (State objects) I guess mental doctors get more complaints especially during custody cases. (State objects)

Jr. says he had a complaint against him during a custody case. He calls the lady "The woman" (means nothing, but it says a lot to me) Now Jr is talking about the whole case. WOW. He agrees that he bartered his services for the dentist's services. The doctor found out afterwards that NJ doesn't allow bartering. Oops. The wife and her attorney boyfriend filed the complaint. Jr was fined $2500. Jr. says that he a big shit with all the boards, so they decided not to do anything about it. (LOL)

Violent Sexual Predators- He's explaining his experience. He's did 660 cases. (I thought he was going to say 666) He's explaining how NJ is different than AZ. He read lots of books. The family tries to protect the accused. Or cover it up.
Jodi's diaries-He read them all. She wore rose colored glasses. She was always positive. Jodi told Jr about Travis breaking her finger in Jan 2008.

Thursday 1-24-08I haven't written because there has been nothing noteworthy to report. I turned down 4 offers for a date this Friday night. 4 separate offers. That's mildly amusing. Instead, I'm going to dinner at Brother Porter's house. It's for new ward members. I'm tempted to skip out though and go w/my friend to the snow. I could get some Reading & journal writing done and probably take some great pictures. Not to mention, spend time w/ some good friends. Anyway, we'll see-JAA
She speaks very positive about Travis. This was days after he broke her finger.
Is that how she always wrote things? Yes, they were always very mild. She was very positive about Travis. Jodi talked to Jr about the Law of Attraction. (state is objecting like crazy)

PTSD- The symptoms are listed in the BOOK (DSM) (or if your like me, just look on WebMD) Now he is going through the checklist again. (I guess he's saying anybody can get it even killers) Jr. thinks Jodi has low self esteem. She cried out to him.

Jodi was still in denial and finally shared the true story. He didn't want her to do therapy while he was testing her. (or something like that) PTSD also effects somebody's emotions. There's a disconnect. (I guess he's explaining why she looks and acts so cold) Additional stress can effect them to (Oh, I guess they are trying to explain why she's so bitchy to JM)
It can confuse them. (sorry, I believe this is all BS.) The voicemail and ninja story was a disconnect for Jodi, said Jr. Her kissing on Ryan after killing Travis is another way of the mind trying to fix the event in their brain. Poor Jodi, she had no one to talk to.
(I guess Jodi was living in another world) He says that the flowers to the grandmother are another example.
Tremors and shaking- Jr. noticed them. That's one of the checkmark symptoms to become PTSD. (Now they have to mark the stupid book he has)

The Dr. remembers that Jodi would shake(BS) and she talked to Jr about how she doesn't like a man yelling at her because it causes her to shake.
They talk about stage fright. (I'm sure Jodi has no problem with this)

Crime Scene- Is there something about the crime scene that supports you thought of PTSD? There is signs she was in stress. He's aware of all the information...camera, gun, SD card, rope, left camera, and Jr answers YES to all. (Wilmont is trying to get him to tell about blood splatter and JM is objecting saying he is NOT an expert in blood splatter but Wilmont is trying to prove there was a struggle in the hallway......no shit Sherlock. The dude was fucking stabbed. He was trying to get the fuck out of there.)

Crime scene- It was disorganized. Jr admits they found Jodi's hair and handprint on the wall (LOL) Travis was put in the shower.
What does it take for someone Jodi's size to put Travis in the shower? (State is objecting) Jr says it would take a lot of strength. (Oh, Wilmont just said something bitchy with JM objected. She said "judge, could we not have speaking objections")

Nurmi is saying JM is setting up an unfair trial for Jodi.
JM wants to play a clip b/c JR is paid by taxpayer money. JM is saying Jr. crossed the line with Jodi (he sent Jodi gifts) and was seeing her in a treatment role.
Wilmont says there was no therapy involved.
JM is saying Jr is biased.
Nurmi says the card was for him, not Jodi.
JM is saying the card was sent to Jodi to make her feel better. The defense is saying that Jr. did not talk to her about depression, and there was no therapy.
Judge asks JR if he provided therapy for Jodi? NO, of course not.
Flores has to provide a copy of an interview tomorrow morning.

You were in a sense giving her money, right? I didn't look at it that way. He bought it for $9. (JM is pissed right now) You like her? I can't answer that question. Jr. seen her 12 times.
They spoke of many things. Sexual stuff too. (Oh, maybe the dr was wanting to try out some KY with Jodi) There is a code of ethics, yes? Yes, it wasn't a gift. Jr. yells out Jodi was suicidal. Doctor yells out he wasn't treating her....he was just doing his test on her.

The dr was not her treating her. Jr. said he doesn't know if she was getting treatment.

Jr. wants to explain what suicidal meant in this case. (uh huh) Jr. just keeps saying he told her attorney. (LOL)
The dr. did not contact anybody else about Jodi being suicidal.The dr. bought her a self help book.

JM is saying Jr was blurring the lines with Jodi. The dr. was trying to help Jodi get better. The dr. thought the book would help her.
NJ-past trouble- Didn't you sign an agreement with NJ that you wouldn't cross lines with another client? Yes
Jr. says he hasn't crossed a line with Jodi.
Fine to NJ- He also had to take more classes on the rules of being a dr and not crossing lines with classes.
JM is bringing up how JR doesn't tape record interviews. Jr. has to look at the book to say the correct name.
JM is bringing out papers. Jr. has only gave the test 15 times. JM brings up how Jr can't remember the name of the test. (LOL) One test is 49 questions, the other is 150. The 49, Jr scores himself, and the other is sent off.
JM is basically saying Jodi lied on those test.
Jodi lied on the test, JM says.

Why are you feeling it out and not her? Because that is the scoring guide (this guy is very sloppy with his paperwork.)

It took Jodi 20 minutes to fill this test out.
She never had any problems filling these test out.
So if they are lying, the test are no good? Right

Jodi's story changed. The rope. She told Jr she was tied at the hands and feet. That's what was in his notes. He is saying he might have added it by mistake (WTF?????) Jodi also told him that Travis cut the ropes as he cummed. Jodi then got on top of Travis and that's when he took the photos.

Jr. says he didn't view Jodi's story as a lie (What?) Jr. said he would discontinue treating them if they were lying.
JM is showing JR the pictures. Jr is saying she wasn't having memory problems at the moment of the pictures.
