I haven’t written because there has been nothing noteworthy to report. I turned down 4 offers for a date this Friday night. 4 separate offers. That’s mildly amusing. Instead, I’m going to a dinner at Brother Porter’s house. It’s for new ward members. I‘m tempted to skip out though and go with my friends to the snow. I could get some reading & journal writing done and probably take some great pictures. Not to mention, spend time w/some good friends. Anyway, we’ll see. JAA

Nurmi is bringing up EX 456 and how it says she has nothing important to report. Now she's explaining why she wrote that. She wouldn't want to write Travis was a Pedo because it was negative.

EX 511- She loves Travis-Loves, loves, loves him. She almost haunted by it. She can't marry Travis. He has problems. They have discussed marriage. Travis proposed to Jodi once over the phone. Jodi didn't think he was a family man.  Travis considered Jodi the wife lottery. Jodi's goal was to be married. Travis was cheating on her. Jodi talks about ripping out pages in her diary.

EX 512-admitted- diary entries.  She wants to turn back the clock and make different decisions. She was concerned about a separation from Travis and leaving him to his own vices. Jodi needs to remember to breath deeply and flow (yeah, what the hell)

Travis and his nickname T-Dogg- It was Travis' nickname. Jodi did not give him that nickname. (Jodi doesn't know how he got the nickname-Probably the one thing she doesn't know about Travis)

Travis' grandmother and the Iris'- Why did you send them to his grandmother? The only member of his family that Jodi ever met. Jodi felt like she should reach out. Jodi felt really awful about what happened. Jodi knew Travis' grandmother was important to him.

Jodi knew Travis' grandmother was important to him.

Violence with Travis-Banging his head against the wall. Travis also hit a Jodi's car. Explain? May 2007- they spent 2 days at Disneyland. (Oh shit, she's talking about gridlock in traffic) and Travis started to cuss because of the traffic. Road rage. Jodi was not scared. She was shocked.

Now I am typing my notes from HLN. Wow, they are far behind the live feed. Don't know what happened with my net, but it is gone. We are supposed to get a huge snowstorm, but so far, just plenty of sunshine.

Violence against Jodi? Sex and rape when she was asleep. Jodi says it was a mistake.

The robbery at Jodi's grandparents- a handgun was stolen. Jodi had access to other guns. Matt, OG, and her father have guns. Matt had unregistered guns. Jodi's dad had a couple of guns. Rental car- Nurmi is trying to say Jodi was not hiding her rental of the car in Redding. There was no reason for her to hide anything. (Jesus, there are a lot of commercials on HLN-it's enough to make me rage on Jodi's face) Jodi says she could have borrowed a car from her family. Jodi's brother lived close to the airport where she rented the car.

Monterey Area- OG has a truck. Matt had a car. Jodi could have borrowed Matt's.

Gas- Jodi buying a gas can. EX 273. She returned the gas can before she got her nails done.
Why do you decide to purchase a third gas can? (Commercial) She didn't think it made sense. She returned it. The gas cans she borrowed- Jodi didn't measure them.
EX 237- Receipts for gas. (Commercial) Jodi doesn't know what she did on certain receipts. (I don't understand any of this) Jodi believes she left the store with a full tank of gas. 10 gallons of gas- Jodi said she didn't fill them up to the top because she worried about overspill.

FYI-Jodi has been on the stand for 15 days. (That's 11 days to long)

Gas cans- Assuming she had 3 gas cans (huh?) More freaking gas receipts shown. Nurmi/Jodi is trying to explain what each one means and how many gallons. Comparing receipts. (Commercial)
JM objects. The car was about 13 gallons each time. State objects every time Nurmi tries to get Jodi to say all this gas went in the car (this is stupid. Just plain stupid. This cause’s brain freeze) (commercial)

Pasadena- The plates on her car- (UGH) the skaters were rolling away when she came out of Starbucks. Jodi says it was dark. Jodi sees the reflector when she's backing out. She gets out and picks it up and throws the buggy plate on the floor of her car.  (Commercial) Jodi was a CSI person and knew it was hers because of the bugs. Jodi was scared and locked her car doors. (Serial skaters) She later learned her rear plates were turned upside down when she was pulled over in Utah (LOL)

She stopped to get gas between Pasadena and Mesa twice. Jodi paid cash for that gas-maybe. She's not sure. She wanted the gas cans to save money (commercial)

Arriving at Travis' house- Jodi has memory issues when she is stressed. Jodi doesn't like men yelling at her. Jodi is not trained on the mental stuff. Jodi says it's not just men that piss her off-it can be her mom too. Jodi loses focus when people yell at her. (No shit lady. Geez, grow the fuck up. I had a shitty fucking life but you don't see me hacking somebody to death) (commercial)

Random memory

When do you remember your first memory of yelling and stress? When she was about 14.
OG yelled, and she almost had a nervous breakdown. This condition came into play again with Travis. Travis yelled at her. She would get flustered and shake. (She has a good memory remembering these events) (ugh, now Nurmi is back in Aug 07) Jodi didn't want Travis to be angry. (Commercial)

The freaking backpack- Travis was yelling at her. He was mad about John Dixon. (I like how she corrects her own attorney) Jodi lost her memory.  (Commercial)
What else happened? Jodi was shaking and crying (BTW, Nurmi called him John Dickhead-for real) There are several times Travis yelled at Jodi and made her shake. Sometimes, even over the phone. Travis caused the shaking. Jodi doesn't like to listen to mom scream or dad spit on her. (Commercial)

June 4th- The choices she made. There was violence up to a year before June 4th. She said Travis pushed her down twice. Jodi says she couldn't get away. She was shaking. When he broke her finger was the next violent event. (Commercial) She didn't try to get away. He kicked her ribs, and it really hurt. Jodi was shaking, and it was all a fog. The next event was the car on the freeway. The next event was when he choked her. They had sex behind closed doors and he beat her behind closed doors (he never hit her though she says) Jodi first thought about clawing his face out, but she passed out. (Commercial) Jodi didn't have enough time to think that day. Jodi never thought about running away.

June 4th. Jodi is saying that she based her story of stabbing Travis on logic that she was the only one that could have done it. Same with slashing his throat. Jodi has no memory of doing it. She's just filling in the blank. State objects. (3, 2, 1....... crying Jodi has to be coming soon)

EX 159- Jodi didn't see him shave that day. Nurmi zooms in on the photo and said he had stubble. (Holy shit. Who cares?) Jodi has taken other pictures of Travis shaving. Travis posted the shaving one online on MySpace.

June 4th was the only time she took pictures of Travis in the shower. Jodi admits she lied to Flores. Travis was proud of his body on June 4th.

June 4th- EX 249- bathroom diagram. (Oh crap) She's marking her spot where she was- By the shower. That's where she dropped the camera. (Commercial) The camera came to a rest by the tub.  Her back was to the closet area. (Her poor attorney can't even lead her to say the "right" thing, and he tries so hard.) 'Wind knocked out' is just an expression. (Commercial) Travis was standing over her. Jodi doesn't know where the camera was. Travis was yelling and cussing and using the F word. Jodi had fear of him. Everything happened fast. She can't remember if she was in a fog. (Nurmi is funny at this point-he's pointing and yelling at the floor in a Nurmi way) It was almost the angriest Jodi had ever seen Travis. She was scared he was bringing her death. She rolled away from him and ran. Jodi doesn't know what Travis did at that point-but she thought she heard him. (Commercial)  She ran down the 11 foot 4 inch hallway into the closet. She was not looking at her watch. She didn't believe she could get away from him.

EX 69-Travis' closet. She slammed the door, and then went for the gun. The gun was in a holster. WTF?????? HOLSTER??????? (Where did the holster come from?)

 Her first thought was just to run-to the other closet door- and get the gun in the holster. (Okay, really?)

 As soon as she slammed the door, she knew she wanted to get his gun. Travis opened the door. Jodi ran in the bathroom after she got the gun. Travis had more traction on the carpet. (Commercial)  Jodi pointed the gun at Travis. She was in the center of the bathroom, but they fell by the scales. Travis was screaming. Jodi was scared. Very, very scared. She thought he was going to kill her. Jodi hoped the gun would make him stop. He did the linebacker thing. (Commercial-ugh)

He was about as far as Jodi and the court reporter. He was running (naked and wet. Okay, right) Jodi remembers not backing up. (no tears BTW) Jodi broke away from him and she was getting away, he screamed. She doesn't know where the camera was. Or where the bullet casing was. (It switched over to JVM)  She's using logic with the knife and stabs. (BS, she remembers everything)  She knows nothing about the knife. (Jodi just cracked her neck in court) Jodi knows nothing about the cleanup efforts afterwards. She doesn't remember grabbing the gun, rope,  with her. She doesn't remember placing his body in the shower. She remembers screaming and dropping the knife. She can't describe how she felt. Other than it was horrible-panic.

EX 78- Travis' body in the shower- She never meant to kill him and leave him dead in the shower----it was never in her thoughts that she recalls. (WTF?)

June 4th to the date she was arrested- She sent him a text, emails, and voicemail.
Why? She knew she did something wrong and she was scared. Cover-up. (Plain and simple)

What did you do wrong? Jodi feels like it should have been her that died. She had a choice. Jodi knew it was wrong and she was wrong and she killed somebody.
Did you wish it were you dead on the floor? Which part would this be, Jodi asks. Not right away, I don't know what I was thinking afterwards.
Lying- to friends? Yes, Jodi remembers.
Lied to Flores? Yes
Jodi just wanted to die. She was conflicted about suicide. (commercial)
What was the benefit to lie? To cover-up (not her words, but mine) Jodi is basically saying she is a nice person. (Jodi's 8 bangs bug the hell out of me)
Jodi was somewhat ashamed of the sexual behavior. Not too ashamed to go to the bishop. Just certain things. She wanted to protect Travis' reputation.
