Jodi talked to the jury about the good deeds she wants to do while she is in prison. She donates her hair, she wants to start a book club, she wants to teach others to speak spanish, and she wants to start a recycle program. Let's look at the things she has done in jail so far.

I had a lot of family in and fell behind in this Jodi trial.  I left off right after the jury returned with the verdict of finding Jodi guilty of the crime being extremely cruel.

All eyes are on me!

5/15/13 Day 59- Jury found Jodi GUILTY of being a monster!I

Penalty phase. The question today will be if Jodi killed Travis in a cruel manner.
Jodi is wearing a peach colored shirt. Not a good color at all. No handcuffs or prison clothes for her today....even though she's a convicted murderer.

I hate this stupid jury. I demand a new jury

The court swears in a bailiff to protect the jury during their decision.

5/8/13 Day 58- Jodi is GUILTY OF MURDER 1!

After lunch.

Word came in that the verdict had been reached by the jury. Everybody is ordered to court at 1:30 for the reading. Of course, court started late.

"No jury will ever convict me"

Jodi wouldn't even let Nurmi leave her!

Poor Nurmi! He really didn't want to be here.

Today is closing arguments. After 4 long months, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. One thing that is clear to me, justice moves very slow in Arizona.
Jodi is a little late getting to the court. Twitter says that everybody is back and forth in the judge's chambers.
Jodi is wearing her light blue shirt, and her hair is down.

Supposed to be the defense sur-rebuttal. Of course, Twitter said Juan and Flores went back to judge's chambers. Also, Deanne is sitting with Travis' family.

They go right to an approach (I have a feeling it's going to be a graphic day b/c I just seen a flash of a body shot of Travis in JM's hand)

Afternoon session (the morning was a closed hearing)
Jodi is wearing that weird black shirt with the strange stripes on it. Jodi seems pretty happy today.

I should be able to have a phone! It's
not fair how they are treating me.

They go into an approach. The judge tells the court the schedule. Trial on 4/25/13 for a short time, then no trial until May 1. May 1 they will start at 9 am and stay until it's finished. Closing should be Thursday and Friday.

During this whole trial, Travis has taken a backseat to all the courtroom craziness, it seems. It's easy to be blinded by the drama. I thought it would be nice to hear from the actually ladies that LOVED and CARED for Travis in their own words. One thing that is easy for me to understand, everybody that knew Travis, loved Travis.

Here are old website posts of things Lisa and Deanne said about Travis. I think they sum Travis' character up very well from women that were involved with him.

tongue. My friends in jail told me to do this more for
the cameras. My friends are smart....but not as smart as me.

So far a late start. (twitter: court staff tell spectators if they laugh or show any type of emotion they will be kicked out #JodiArias stems from last week's outburst)
Attorneys are now in the judge's chambers.
Jodi has a white top on and tan pants. Twitter users say it matches with her attorneys.

Alyce is still up on the stand. JM is still up for the state.

Jodi's mom said Jodi was mental!

On July 15, 2008, Jodi's parents were interviewed by the police.

The videos make it very clear that these parents knew Jodi had issues. I'm not sure any parent ever expects their troubled child to be a murderer, but it really sounds like these parents did not doubt that their daughter killed Travis.

Jodi has a red shirt on. Her hair looks nice today. The sides are pulled up.

This turns all the boys on

Nurmi wants the jury sequestered. He has a problem with all the information released.
JM says he doesn't watch tv as much as Nurmi does.
Nurmi thinks the jury is seeing the media. JM isn't sure where Nurmi gets the legal authority without backing it up.
